Turkey Time!
Chocolate cake pops in true turkey fashion! These make cute desserts for your youngest guests at Thanksgiving....or add a name tag and use them as place cards at your table! I can make these with or without the straw, whatever you prefer; and as always, in whichever flavor you like best!
Happy Mickey Birthday!
My youngest just turned 2 already....I feel like I just posted about his first birthday cake! Time flies....this year I made him a cake with Mickey's clubhouse in fondant around the side and Mickey cake pops as party favors.....the Mickey cupcakes were a treat on his actual birthday....Happy Birthday my Sweet Roh!

The Sweetest Day
A dear friend got married a few weeks ago and I had the fortune of making her wedding favors. She asked for chocolate cake truffles, two to a box, wrapped with a sweet pink ribbon. I couldn't be happier for two people who are so perfect together. Love you Mego and Danny!!

Caramel Apple Cake Truffles
What a delicious way to celebrate fall....there are tiny bits of real apple in each spice cake truffle, coated with butterscotch for a caramel apple flavor that only comes around once a year!

A Baby's Christening
I made these individually wrapped blue chocolate lollipop favors and chocolate cake truffles for a baptism by request...they came out really cute, especially the favors that say "Baby's Christening"...and they made it all the way to NY in one piece in 100-degree weather!! yay :)

Sweet Tweets :)
I was asked to make cake pops and cupcakes for a cute bluebird-themed baby shower - The cake pops were wrapped individually with pink ribbon and one of the hostesses made a very cute and crafty nest-like stand with customized pop signs...
The chocolate cake pops were my own, but the design for the cupcakes (almond cake and vanilla buttercream) came from Martha Stewart's website. Since it's a girl, I changed the beaks to pink :) They all looked so cute nestled in their toasted coconut nests!
(Thanks to Amber Manry for the pictures straight from the shower!!)

In honor of Christmas...
My mother-in-law and I (with a little help from a few happy elves around the house) made a batch of these cute little Christmas tree cake truffles over Thanksgiving....a few of these or a box of the round truffles would make excellent holiday gifts for anyone and everyone! A box of 10 round truffles is still $10, and each tree is $2.

Is it too early for Christmas?
Teacher gift idea!
In case anyone wanted to place an early Christmas order, these look fantastic wrapped in green and red ribbon :) Fill the box with cake truffles of your choice - they make great gifts for all the hostesses, teachers, babysitters, and everyone on your list!! They also would be a fabulous addition to your holiday party spread! Gift wrapped boxes available for a small extra charge...
Venturing out....
After making loads of chocolate cake truffles, I decided I would test out a couple new flavor combinations in honor of our impromtu patio-warming party this weekend. It turns out that strawberry and red velvet cake make pretty darn good truffles too. Both flavors were excellent with vanilla, and the red velvet went really well with chocolate mixed in!
Happy Thanksgiving!!
A friend asked if I could make cake truffles that looked like turkeys for Thanksgiving, so after looking through Bakerella's book, here's what my version looks like:
$2 each.

Cake Pops Conquered :)
So my little nephew turned the big '1' year old this week and my sister threw him a super cute owl party. She did an amazing job on the cakes, and since I was not on cake duty, I made these instead, from Bakerella's Cake Pop book.
The first time I tried cake pops, they failed miserably. They didnt even taste good. I've never had such a horrible cake experience, and I wasn't about to let it end like that. So I tried again, this time with better ingredients and a little experience behind me, and they were fabulous. And I mean fabulous. They tasted so yummy, you could care less what the outside looked like. Anyway, I would totally make them a dozen times over! And would be completely capable of not sharing.
